Is God calling you to serve in a way that transforms lives with compassion? Do you have skills and talents to share? If so, would you consider putting them at the service of poor and marginalized communities around the world as a Maryknoll Lay Missioner?
As baptized Catholics, we are called to mission. Maryknoll Lay Missioners (MKLM) offers U.S. Catholics the opportunity to respond to that call by serving people living in poverty in Africa, Asia, or Latin America for three and one-half years or longer.*
MKLM has upcoming opportunities that you won’t want to miss, if you would like to learn more about becoming a missioner. Our Upcoming Events page provides more detail.
MKLM welcomes you to apply if you are:
- Age 21 or older
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Experienced in direct, volunteer service
- Single; a married couple; or a family with no more than two children, eight years old or younger.
- Willing to make a 3-1/2 year commitment to overseas service
